Otro nivel

Se han publicado alrededor de la diseño-desarrollo-blogósfera gringa algunos interesantes post titulados ¿Cual es tu nivel de x, donde x puede ser CSS,HTML,Javascript y seguramente otros ira apareciendo. Me ha dado gusto ver mis supuestos niveles de acuerdo a estas escalas. Como ya lo saben, soy un presumido soberbio de lo peor, asi que les platico los niveles en los que me ubiqué.

Niveles de conocimiento de css

Nivel 5: “I use CSS for design, it’s better than tables because of…”
Nivel 6: “What version of CSS? Yes, I do. Did you read my book about…”

Debo estar entre esos dos. Hace muchísimo que usar tablas para maquetar no se me pasa por la cabeza ni de chiste, por el contrario estos días he estado seguro de que puedo maquetar en CSS cualquier layout sin demasiadas complicaciones y aunque todavía no he escrito ningun libro (ni lo haga nunca, quizá) sobre el tema, si he escrito algunos tutoriales incompletos y salgo nombrado en los agradecimientos de este libro así que eso debe contar pa algo.

Niveles de conocimiento de accesibilidad

Creo que éste es inecesesariamente agresivo y no está tan bien definido como los otros. Pero podría acomodarme en el nivel 3.

Nivel de accesibilidad 3: These l33t-style developers know that tables r teh sux0r and use CSS for everything. Unfortunately, they are so preoccupied with said CSS that they overlook the structure of their pages, which end up as a jumble of divs. Has bookmarked WCAG – once. Here the skip-navigation link makes its début, dressed as a 1×1-pixel GIF with a cunning alt tag. Sadly, the target for such a link is an ordinary <a name=""> element set adrift in the flotsam of divs, and the developer can never quite figure out why it manifests itself in the same colour and underline style as the rest of the page’s links. Owns GoLive 4.

Obvio, no usé ni usaré jamás nada como GoLive ni he enlazado jamás a la WCAG ni creo ser tan méndigo como lo describe este punto, pero debo reconocer que me he dejado un poco de lado la accesibilidad en favor de lo visual o semántico. Soy culpable, voy a hacer lo posible por mejorar.

Niveles de conocimiento de HTML

Definitivamente nivel 7.

Nivel 7: “All that crap, just use HTML.”

Después de ser un estandartista fanático, llegué a la conclusión de que la validación 100% perfecta es más un ideal utópico que una verdadera necesidad.

No puedo creer que soy capaz de entender eso de arriba y que además podría escribir código así. Como lo comenté en el post, creo que es un poco engañoso, el que esté en este nivel no significa que sea buen programador, sólo que soy capaz de escribir código más bonito. Y pensar que hace apenas un año declaraba mi total ignorancia al respecto:

Ahh, pero sigo sin saber nada de mujeres :( . ¿Creen que estas habilidades mías impresionen a alguna chica linda?
